Middleton House is situated 16 miles from the recently renovated Stirling Castle listed in the Lonely planet guide as one of the 40 best experiences in Europe and the Wallace Monument erected to the 13th century Scottish hero who fought the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge.  18 miles in the opposite direction lies the fair city of Perth also famous for many historical sites such as Scone Palace. Perthshire also provides the opportunity to enjoy many beautiful walks and cycle paths. Middleton House is situated 5 miles from the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel where the Ryder Cup of 2014 took place. It is also a commutable distance from both Glasgow and Edinburgh for visitors wishing to attend the Edinburgh festival or visit Glasgow’s internationally-acclaimed museums and galleries. Tullibardine Distillery on the edge of the village also provides an opportunity to sample single malt whisky. There are different tours on offer from the classic to the connoisseur.
